Resumo - Esta dissertação identifica as causas mais relevantes dos acidentes de trabalho no sector das Pescas em Portugal, caracterizando não só as causas imediatas (e tipologia) mas também, e principalmente, os factores humanos, organizacionais e de gestão a elas associadas. A investigação baseou-se numa metodologia de análise estruturada (designada WAIT - Work Accidents Investigation Technique) que permitiu identificar diversos factores de causalidade, quer directos quer indirectos. Recorreu-se a entrevistas - sinistrados e mestres/armadores de diversas embarcações - como forma de investigação directa de acidentes de trabalho nas Pescas...
Abstract - This thesis identifies the main causes of accidents at work within the Fishing Sector in Portugal, characterizing not only the immediate causes (and their typologies) but also, and mainly, the human, organizational and management factors. The study was based on a structured methodology of analysis (WAIT - Work Accidents Investigation Technique) that allowed identifying different causality factors, both direct and indirect.
